What are the 2020 Festival dates, times?

November 7-8, 2020
Saturday 10am-5pm
Sunday 10am-4pm
The Preserve, Hoover, Alabama

Will the festival have a VIRTUAL Marketplace component this year in addition to the public festival?

Yes, MOSS MAGIC will be featuring a virtual marketplace.

3.
How will admission work in 2020?

Tickets will be divided into 2 daily Admission Sessions in 2020 in order to spread out crowds and allow visitors to socially distance during their visit.

++ Approximately 1500 Visitors will be allowed per session ++

Morning Saturday Session: 10:00am-1:30pm
Afternoon Saturday Session: 1:30pm-5:00pm
Morning Sunday Session: 10:00am-1:00pm
Afternoon Sunday Session: 1:30pm-4:00pm

How can I buy tickets in advance?

Advance tickets can be purchased on our website. Ticket link coming soon.

Are there special student, military, or senior discounts?

Unfortunately, this year there are no discounted tickets.

What is your ticket refund policy / donation option? 

In case of festival cancellation, full refunds will be given for advance ticket purchases. Or consider donating your ticket back to the non-profit festival! Please see question #5 below.

Can I DONATE my ticket purchase back to the festival in case of cancellation?

Yes! In 2020, please consider supporting the non-profit festival during this crucial fund sustaining year by converting your admission ticket into a festival donation, in the case of cancellation. Check the appropriate festival donation box when you purchase in advance. Or become a festival donor this year when we need it most. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

What is the parking plan?

TBA. Park and Walk-in plan under study. Check our website closer to the event.

9.
Will there be a drop off point for visitors and handicapped patrons?

Yes, a designated area just after the west roundabout will allow for visitor drop-offs/pick-ups.

There are also a handful of designated handicapped spots along Preserve Parkway at the top of the Village Green.

What coronavirus protocols are being planned for visitor and public health safety?

This list is continuing to develop and evolve. Below are the policies and protocols being put in place so far.

a – NO SHUTTLING of visitors

b – MASKS REQUIRED for entry and exploring festival exhibitor booths

c – Tickets will be divided into 2 daily ADMISSION SESSIONS in 2020 in order to spread out crowds and allow visitors to socially distance during their visit. See #2 above.

d – Gate will institute minimal contact. CREDIT CARDS needed to purchase Tickets.

e – ONE WAY TRAFFIC pattern from Entrance Gate on Orange Row to Exit Gate on Blue Row in order to cut down on cross traffic patron patterns

f – CROSS TRAFFIC permitted across central green to access all three one way Festival streets

g – SITE FOOTPRINT is being expanded

h – EXHIBITOR BOOTHS are being socially distanced

i – Widening of pedestrian PATHWAYS

j – LOUNGING AREAS will be enclosed zones for up to 2/4/6up individuals in the same group at a time

k – Hand SANITIZER STATIONS will be strategically located throughout the site.

l – Attendants handing out sanitizing wipes at PORTALETS

Mask policies

Due to public health guidelines, visitors will be required to wear a mask for entry and exploring festival exhibitor booths.

Masks can be removed for eating while in the cafe area / inside designated eating zones.

If you forget a mask, the festival will have some on hand for your use. NOTE: Look for artist-made masks featuring designs inspired by their art.

Will visitors be able to leave and return to the event?

Ticket Holders will be able to enter and exit at their leisure with festival armbands during their morning or afternoon session.

Will visitors attending the Morning Sessions be required to leave at their end?

This new policy will be executed on the honor system. We appreciate attendees helping the festival manage session numbers so that proper social distancing can occur as patrons enjoy the festival offerings. If the festival sees too many morning session attendees on site past their session and are affecting population density at the festival, you may be asked by the festival to finish up your session’s visit.

Will the festival, artists and exhibitors accept cash?

The Festival discourages the use of cash this year, but can accept.

Artists and Exhibitors are responsible for processing their own sales.

16.
Will there be food, drinks, and other concessions?

Yes, a selection of food trucks and other concessions are being planned for the weekend.

The festival will be providing various coca cola products and water for sale.

Can you bring in outside food & drink?

Not allowed due to vendor concessions on site.

18.
Will Beer Garden be happening this year?

Yes, but with a twist. We will be announcing more about the 15th annual craft tasting event soon.

19.
Will there be art workshops for children?

WonderKid Studios will be offering socially distanced Art & Nature projects for children.

20.
Will there be hikes in the Moss Rock Preserve?

Self-Guided /Guided Hikes into the Moss Rock Preserve will be available.
