Here a chick

THE BLOG INTERVIEWS: +Design’s Here A Chick, There A Chick

How do your designs make the planet more sustainable?
I utilize what I find- from the smallest rusty bits dug out of a basement, to brooches carefully repaired and saved from the trash bin- to make my pieces. It’s such a joy to bring out the beauty of forgotten objects!

What is your favorite national or local eco-friendly design source?
www.etatesales.net, Craigslist and al.com for all your local estate and yard sales! Want to be green and local? Buy used from your neighbors! Saving money is a bonus! You will never set foot in Target again.

How can someone follow your business on social media?
I can be found as Here a Chick There a Chick, on Facebook, on Instagram, and on my website www.hereachickthereachick.com.

Do you do business with or know of a great eco-friendly company or organization locally that people should know about or support?
Birmingham is a Mecca for amazing thrift stores and antiques stores. Things were just made better in bygone eras. Couches and furniture were built to last. Not only can you save money, but your home can be filled with quality treasures. The story you get to share about how you found them is just the cherry on top!
